Srirangam !!

After a long time I'm resuming my blog.

This post is to share the krupai he bestowed upon me when I had been to srirangam.

I had planned this visit of srirangam for a cousin's poonal(and not with him as a priority!).
Its odd that my intention was to attend the upanayanam, and koil was just a prassangika complementary task. Even with this minimal or no shradhai its surprising what he blessed upon me..
Ofcourse this clearly shows that my infinitesimal interest is nothing compared to his unconditional grace..

With a self interest of enjoying his beauty, I travelled a day earlier to upanayanam and reached thayar sannidhi at around 830AM. Monotonously "saw" all the sannidhis, and "said" some paasurams. Never even bothered to think whether he would be happy wrt this or not. Later after trying to "finish" seeing all the sannidhi i was at udayavar sannidhi. By udayavar's krupai heard that asmad aacharyar Sri Koil Kandhadai Elayavilli Varadhachariyar swami is present at kulasekarazhwar sannidhi for azhwar thirunakshatram.

Its been too long since adiyen meet swami.. So rushed to chakravarthi thirumagan sannidhi on banks of chandra pushkarini. (kulasekarazhwar is beside the chakravarthi thirumagan at the same place)

Firstly I was hesitant to go in, and stood last in the ghosti. While looking into the ghosti got a glimpse of asmad aacharyar :).. But it was very uncomfortable to stand in the crowd with all of them reciting the paasurams(since I didn't know most of them). So I stood at the last row - in corner. Then saw a LakshmiNarasimhanVenkatapathy swami. Though familiar face in facebook, I haven't had any personal conversations. So was little hesitant. He asked me to sit beside him and listen to the paasuram and insisted the importance of listening. During the ghosti it was a mixed feeling - but later realized there were many people who were not reciting, but were eagerly listening to the words. Especially the women, though they were not allowed to recite paasurams, the interest in their eyes motivated me to continue listening.

LNV(LakshmiNarasimhanVenkatapathy) swami was carrying the prasadam he received during the ghoshti and was looking for bhagavathas (who couldn't receive the prasadam) to share it. This was something nice - and Adiyen personally liked the parArtha chintanai.. Later after sometime went to his thirumaligai, and had some prasadam. To much of my surprise the previous day was thiruvadirai and two days before it was thirukkachinambigal thirunakshatram. LNVswami had been to puvindhavalli and sriperumbudhur, and had saved some prasadham for sharing with srivaishnavas. Didnt know what I should say!!.. There was nothing stopping his unconditional mercy.

That afternoon, we were having a loong discussion, and in the middle we discussed about how parashara and veda vyasa bhattar were born out of aravanai prasadam of namperumal. I had never had aravanai prasadam before, so was little curious how it would be..

Later in the evening(to much of my surprise) that day turned out to the namperumal's thiruppaliodam (theppa utsavam). So evening we went to say pallandu pallandu pallandu pallandu to him. He was so gorgeous, and there was a definite change in the expression in his thirumugam wrt the what I observed in morning.

Later it was about 9:20PM and we went to thayar sannidhi to tell her how beautiful her husband was. We told her the same. Just when we were about to leave, we decided to sit there for some strange reason, And at that time another person came and told us that the shayanam arathi etc will happen in sometime.. So we awaited for sometime, and it was awesome experience.. The sounds of the nagaswaram and melam, the kadai kan paarvai of thayar from the distance, and the arathi with our mouth reciting pallandu.. It was yet another memorable time.. Later to much of my surprise we were blessed with the aravanai prasadam!.. Never expected to be blessed with aravanai prasadam on the same day!..

As soon as we received her blessing (in the form of prasadam) it was not just our responsibility, but also perumal's thiruvullam that we share it with others. So just when we were walking across, we came across a srivaishanva mami who was standing out awaiting someone. We shared the aravanai prasadam with her.
Next day we came to know that another srivaishanvar had come to her home later that night, and she shared the prasadam with him.. Its quite surprising how perumal and thayar use us to share their blessings!.. Also we need to realise the importance of sharing..

Later went to receive perumal back to sannidhi from theppam. We were told that perumal will be going to thayar sannidhi!. And to much of our surprise perumal came to the thayar sannidhi and at kamban arangetra mandapam, right in front of thayar, there were many mangala arathis which were done for namperumal. Asmad aacharyar who came in the ghosti stood in front of perumal.. It was amazing to witness asmad aacharyar in middle of perumal and thayar. Acharyar shared some prasadam which he recieved from perumal at that very moment. I didnt know what to say!..

Later perumal went to his sannidhi at around 12 or 1AM. and we received some aravanai prasadam from perumal. Also there was some ksheeram(milk) naivedhyam for perumal on that day. We were blessed with that also. This aravanai from perumal was a nice finishing touch! to all that he has been doing since morning.
In most of the normal days it would be difficult to get the aravanai prasadam of both perumal and thayar (since it happens at the same time, and we cannot be there in two places at once).. But that day was special.
Its quite astonishing that udayavar, thirukkachinambigal, kulasekarazhwar and ofcourse sriranganayaki sametha sriranganathan had planned each of their "ponagam seitha sedam" to a person who didn't even come to srirangam for perumal, but for some other personal reasons!..

It is quite astonishing how magnificent his mercy is!,
and this post is just to share that mercy which he showered upon this undeserving candidate..
